Supporting, Teaching, Guiding Priests and Future Priests
While
the Sulpicians might be best known for their presence in seminaries,
their work is not only academic. In serving seminarians and priests,
the Sulpicians seek to form the whole person of this leader in todays
Church.
For the Sulpicians, the spirituality
and the heart of the minister are as important as the knowledge
and skills needed for parish ministry. Using spiritual direction,
academic preparation and pastoral supervision, the Sulpicians instruct
priests and future priests in the interior life and help them develop
an apostolic spirit.
This is why Sulpicians live
in seminaries among the students rather than in a separate house
or wing. They seek to be living examples of the life and ministry
of the priest in todays world.
Praesidium Accreditation™ publicly demonstrates
that Society of St. Sulpice, Province of the U.S. has
achieved the highest industry standards in abuse prevention and
response.
