The Mission of St. Mary's Spiritual Center is to provide opportunities for
nurturing personal growth and holistic living centered in God."

A Living Legacy

The dynamic history of the site provides inspiration for the activities currently held there.

First, St. Mary’s Spiritual Center provides ongoing ministry on the site. Housed in the former convent, built in 1896, St. Mary’s Spiritual Center provides opportunities for nurturing personal growth and holistic living centered in God. This is accomplished primarily through individual and group spiritual direction, as well as those types of retreats, days of prayer, and other programs which in similar ways foster authentic Christian living for lay people, religious, and clergy.

For more information on St. Mary’s Spiritual Center and its programs, please visit www.stmarysspiritualcenter.org.

The second set of activities at the site is provided by an organization of volunteers known as the Mother Seton House, Inc. These volunteers take care of the Mother Seton House, see that it is open to the public on a regular basis and provide guided tours of the House and of St. Mary’s Chapel for pilgrims and visitors who seek to learn about the history of the site and to be inspired by the lives of the many holy people who were associated with it, especially St. Elizabeth Ann Seton.

For more information of the Mother Seton House, Inc. and the tours available, please visit www.mothersetonhouse.org.

In addition, special events and liturgical celebrations are held by the Spiritual Center and the Mother Seton House for groups with special ties to the site like priests who studied there many decades ago, those studying for the priesthood today, communities with ties to the site and groups of lay volunteers.
