A work of the French Sculptor Henri Bouriche (1826-1906), this statue of Mary Seat of Wisdom had become closely identified with the Sulpicians in the United States.

In fact the Sulpician logo, shown above, stands for Auspice Maria," meaning "Under Mary's Protection."
